Texting or speaking While Driving: How Dangerous is it?

Lost24

It is obvious that the mobile phone in the hand of the driver during the ride is a big threat on the road. Texting, checking e-mails or speaking without hands-free set while driving can lead to a tragedy on the road. Such behaviour increases the accident risk on the roadway four times.

And what about using mobile phones by pedestrians? Does it pose great threat while crossing the street?

Police draw attention to the fact that young people are way more focused on listening to music, checking their social media profiles or e-mails than on what is happening on the road.

The number of accidents caused by pedestrians using mobile phones is increasing from year for year.

In connection with it, the Mazovian traffic police conduct "Smart Stop" action which draws attention to the tragic results of using the mobile phones by pedestrians who use the roads.

Such actions are also conducted in other countries.

Swiss police decided to fight against teenagers who  use mobile phones on the street crossings, by shooting emotional spot.

The truth is that it affects our imagination.

Remember, a moment of inattention can cost us life.

A situation which took place in October 2015 can be a perfect example - the train hit  17-year-old and killed him. What caused this accident? In spite of numerous sound signals used  by the engine driver, the teenager didn't step aside of the railway because he was listening to music by the speakers.
