Store zapraszamybowarto.pl tempted people with low prices, but by shopping there instead of the expected product they lost money from their accounts.

Zaufana Trzecia Strona reports that the store up to few years ago enjoyed a very good reputation among customers, however, the original owner after some time gave up the domain. The domain was re-registered this year through Home.pl by a company from Opole, however, the website still shows the previous owner as the administrator (the prosecutor’s office was informed of this fact).

The fraud mechanism was based on informing the victim, who is in the process of finalizing the payment, that the redirection to the payment operator’s website failed due to an error or technical difficulties. At this point in the store chat an employee suggests a different solution and sends a link to the PayU payment generated in another store (zegarownia.pl), and what’s more suspicious – with a different amount to pay.

According to the portal, four transactions for a total of PLN 7,200 were successfully completed this way. Fortunately, PayU contacted the stores in which fraudster could place orders and canceled those that were awaiting payment. An attempt was also made to stop processing of orders. In addition, Home.pl was also contacted and the website is no longer accessible.

This method of fraud is becoming more and more popular, so pay attention to the amount on your order and whether the PayU payment form originates from the same store you are making your purchase.
